Job Overview:

As a seasoned hospitality professional, you will leverage your management expertise and passion for quality to assist the Head Housekeeper in efficiently overseeing a dynamic housekeeping department and driving team productivity. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Head Housekeeper in managing a busy housekeeping department, ensuring seamless operations and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and being the first point of contact for the Hotel General Manager and Senior Management team in the absence of the Head Housekeeper.
  • Developing and implementing cost-effective solutions to improve departmental efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company health and safety policies, reporting and recording any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries to maintain adherence to QA and HS audit standards.
  • Leading by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills, and motivating the housekeeping team to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, linen supply, and equipment maintenance.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide feedback to ensure open communication and motivation.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Monitor and control departmental expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in housekeeping management, with a focus on operations and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
