Spire Healthcare is excited to announce an opening for a Housekeeping Supervisor within our dynamic hotel services team. The Supervisor will typically work from 10:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, with occasional early starts to provide coverage as needed.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee and collaborate with the Hotel Services team to ensure the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective services in a timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead, inspire, and manage all housekeeping personnel while stepping in for the Hotel Services Managers when necessary. Work directly alongside front-of-house staff on a rotational basis, providing additional support during staffing shortages. Ensure the highest cleanliness standards are upheld and assist in establishing efficient operational practices. Support the Hotel Services Managers in preparing the department's annual personal development plans and deliver essential training to maintain consistent high standards. Participate in regular briefings with the Hotel Services Managers and conduct meetings with direct reports to communicate relevant information and foster good staff morale. Ensure adequate stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, monitoring supplier performance and addressing any deficiencies. Maintain exemplary standards of uniform and personal hygiene. Adhere to Health & Safety regulations. Collaborate with the Hotel Services Managers to document operational policies in line with Spire Healthcare standards and ensure staff training is conducted accordingly. Assist in infection prevention and control within designated areas, acting as a departmental liaison to promote a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English is preferred.

Experience:

Background in infection control cleaning services. Experience in team management. Strong communication and telephone skills. Proficient in computer skills.
