About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the Asset Alliance Group team as a Residual Risk Manager. As a key member of our commercial vehicle finance team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the business from residual losses and ensuring the successful management of our residual value portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the end of lease outcome as set out in the End of Term Annual Strategy/ADP.
  • Proactively manage the Maturity of a Residual Value process, including direct contact with customers or our Business Development Managers.
  • Participate in negotiations with customers on Contract Extensions or Asset Disposal.
  • Maintain strong working ties with other stakeholders across the business, including Business Development Managers, Fleet Engineers, and Sales Directors.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to talk articulately on the phone.
  • Ability to work on own initiative under minimal supervision and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  • Inquisitive nature with a heightened sense of responsibility.
  • Reasonable knowledge of Excel.
  • Instinctive ability to trace, check, and fix issues.
  • Ability to cross-reference multiple sources of data in query resolution.
  • Good business process understanding across multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to listen and provide assistance in resolving issues or recognizing appropriate escalation points.
  • Calm manner and clear communicator, comfortable talking to customers or colleagues over the phone or face-to-face.
  • Works with colleagues in a collaborative manner to achieve objectives.
  • High levels of initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management, meeting prescribed deadlines for both internal and external activities.
  • Follow processes correctly.
  • Knowledge of the UK transport sector would be considered an advantage.
  • Eagerness to learn and self-develop.
