We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Protection Officer to join our team, focusing on compliance and enforcement within the environmental sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement enforcement actions in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Pollution Prevention and Control Act 1990.
- Conduct investigations related to noise disturbances and domestic noise complaints.
- Perform acoustic evaluations and execute noise assessment surveys.
- Prepare legal documentation and case files for both criminal and civil litigation.
- Investigate statutory nuisance claims utilizing standardized procedures, including record-keeping and noise monitoring equipment.
- Engage with Planning and Licensing consultations, providing necessary feedback.
- Conduct inspections related to Environmental Permits.
- Gather evidence in compliance with PACE regulations.
- Participate in Planning and Licensing discussions, including hearings.
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive rate of £45 per hour, with a flexible work arrangement of 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.
Contract Duration:
This is an initial contract with the possibility of extension.
