Environmental Compliance Specialist

Nationwide, United Kingdom Allen & York (Built and Natural Environment) Ltd Full time
Job Title: Environmental Compliance Specialist

Allen & York are proud to be working with an international consultancy who focus on environmental and chemical compliance as they look to recruit an Environmental Compliance Specialist in response to an increasing workload.

You'll be responsible for liaising with clients on regulatory issues and programmes focussing on WEEE, Batteries and Packaging. Ideally you'll have direct experience of WEEE, Batteries and Packaging, combined with a regulatory background, the combination of which can vary.

You will be liaising with businesses worldwide so a great opportunity if you're looking for a global reach and you'll be working in an environment where regulations and legislation change regularly so you'll be constantly learning. For candidates with the right level of experience, there may be opportunities to manage some more junior team members.

You'll be supporting the development of quotations and drawing up bespoke solutions for clients, based on their requirements so there's a chance to be innovative and autonomous.

If you speak a second language (French and/or German), that would be advantageous but it's not essential. What's more important is your passion, willingness to learn and strong transferable skills including liaising with clients, the ability to motivate yourself and a working knowledge of WEEE, Batteries and Packaging Regulations.

Based in either the UK or one of fifteen European countries including Ireland, Spain, Germany and the Nordics, you can work remotely but it would be beneficial to access either the Midlands office or the London office on occasion. You will however, have the right to work in the UK (or the countries listed) as my client is unable to sponsor visa applications.

You will receive a competitive salary in return and the opportunity to work with a successful, established business who have carved a strong name for themselves in the sector.

About us: Allen & York have been matching purposeful people with purpose-led organisations for 30 years. We partner with our clients and candidates on roles that build an understanding of climate change, promote sustainability and create inclusive and responsible organisations, working towards a sustainable world for us all. Committed to inclusiveness in the workplace, we aim to increase diversity across all areas and therefore welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of their ethnicity, race, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, age, or whether or not they have a disability.
