About the Role

As a Construction Assurance Specialist, you will support the Senior Construction Assurance Manager in undertaking Constructability Assurance, taking a risk-based approach. You will provide specialist advice and expertise at all stages of the construction process for the High Speed Rail project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Construction Assurance Manager in managing High Speed Rail cross contract interfaces with respect to constructability.
  • Assist the Senior Construction Assurance Manager and High Speed Rail Project Managers with the HS2 CDM Assurance Process.
  • Coordinate and undertake safety tours and other site-based High Speed Rail safety practices.
  • Support the NEC3 Supervisor in discharging their duties under the Contract.
  • Support the NEC3 Project Manager in discharging their duties under the Contract.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of NEC3 Contract and Supervisor responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of UK construction regulations including Construction Design Management (CDM) and Construction Safety Management requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience of site-based processes and procedures for health, safety and environmental management.
  • Understanding of risk identification and management.
  • Understanding of construction planning and ability to follow and monitor progress against a project programme.
  • Degree level qualification in civil engineering, construction or building science or the equivalent experience.
