In the role of National Account Executive (Whisky Specs), you will be tasked with enhancing our brand visibility among key retailers such as Majestic, Berry Bros, Laithwaites, and others. This position provides an excellent opportunity to leverage your extensive network and expertise to develop our premium offerings in the capital, supporting our vision of becoming the world's most esteemed spirits company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with assigned accounts, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships that promote our brands and fulfill customer requirements.
  • Achieve budgeted volume, net sales value, gross profit, and distribution objectives with designated customers.
  • Formulate and oversee essential business processes, including weekly and monthly performance reviews, demand forecasting, and annual planning to establish budgets for your accounts.
  • Develop clear business strategies for investment in secondary placements and promotional activities.
  • Play a significant role in shaping the Luxury Retail & Whisky Specialists strategy for both immediate and long-term objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial Marketing to effectively implement brand strategies in the marketplace.
  • Work in tandem with other departments such as Finance, Culture, and Operations to ensure optimal performance against established KPIs and targets.
  • Foster positive, mutually beneficial relationships with customers.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to customers, ensuring alignment on execution.
  • Manage promotional initiatives and effectively launch new product developments, capitalizing on key seasonal opportunities with your customer base.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven sales and commercial experience (3 years+), particularly with premium products in the wine retail sector, demonstrating the ability to grow premium offerings.
  • Strong understanding of customer complexities and the ability to drive commercial success while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Experience in the FMCG sector with a history of engaging with specialist retail outlets.
  • Excellent forecasting skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate category insights to create compelling growth strategies.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a keen eye for new opportunities.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication, along with strong presentation skills.
  • Highly developed negotiation and account management capabilities.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with a proven track record of networking across various customer accounts.
  • Passion for the beverage industry, particularly unique and rare whiskies.
  • Willingness to engage actively in all aspects of operations at Beam Suntory.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude, ready to exceed expectations.
