Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Shift Time: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
Pay Rate: $17 hourly

Overview:

The Assembler is responsible for executing a variety of mechanical assembly tasks to construct both large and small components in accordance with detailed specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assembly rework and inspection during the production of final products.
  • Employ hand tools, fixtures, pneumatic devices, manual presses, and power tools for component assembly.
  • Adhere to verbal and written work instructions, bill of materials, guidelines, complex assembly drawings, and blueprints.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, gauging devices, and testing equipment to confirm assembly functionality and performance.
  • Manage materials required for the department effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
  • Comply with established procedures, quality, and safety standards.
  • Ensure a safe working environment.
  • Work under supervision and perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to perform various assembly and soldering tasks manually.
  • Reasonable dexterity in hands for manipulating small components.
  • Capability to interpret blueprints.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Additional Attributes:

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Capacity to lift 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. consistently.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily.
  • Good manual dexterity and visual acuity.
  • Experience with various equipment, including hand tools and calibrated measuring devices such as calipers, plug gauges, drop indicators, force gauges, torque measuring screwdrivers, oscilloscopes, dial gauges, torque wrenches, micrometers, and specialized manufacturing measuring equipment.
  • Possible exposure to various industrial cleaning chemicals and oils.
