About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our Community CAMHS team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments for children and young people referred to the service, ensuring safeguarding, risk management, and care planning are implemented to the highest standard.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with families and external agencies to ensure effective patient-centered care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case formulation and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
  • Co-facilitate groups and treatment sessions with multidisciplinary team colleagues, offering evidence-based care.
  • Represent CAMHS in professional forums and complex networks, promoting effective collaboration and communication.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in occupational therapy, nursing, or social work, with registration with the HCPC/NMC/Social Work England.
  • Post-qualification study and training in the use of standardized assessment tools.
  • Past experience as a qualified mental health practitioner, with broad experience of working with clients with a range of mental health problems.
  • Experience of group and individual work, multidisciplinary working, and supervising staff or students.
