About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Engineer and Surveyor to join our Renewables Technical Centre of Excellence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing engineering services to our wind farm, hydro, and solar and battery portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Preparation: Prepare and design 2D and 3D engineering drawings using Autocad, Revit, and Civil 3D to provide accurate and quality information to inform key projects and influence operational decisions.
  2. Surveying and Data Analysis: Conduct surveys of SSE Renewables Dams under the Reservoir Act, process survey results to record potential movements, and identify errors and trends.
  3. Survey Data Utilization: Produce 2D and 3D surveys to aid in the production of drawings and advise engineering teams of key features, movements, or levels.
  4. Site Development: Create 3D models of wind farms, solar and battery sites, and hydro infrastructure to incorporate into existing systems such as BIM models, GIS, and point cloud surveys.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: A minimum of HNC level in an appropriate engineering discipline, with a strong understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering drawing principles and engineering methods.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in 2D & 3D drafting using AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent drawing packages, as well as experience with standard surveying practices, total stations, GNSS, and digital/optical levels.
  3. Commercial Focus: A commercially focused individual with excellent IT skills and a strong understanding of engineering services.
