About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work with adults with special educational needs and disabilities, providing educational development and pastoral support in a range of formal and informal settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and contribute to the educational development and pastoral support of adults with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Support the education and training of adults, working collaboratively with key specialist Tutors and the Inclusive Learning Manager.
  • Deliver workshops and training for students as needed, and support access arrangements in an examination setting.
  • Develop and deliver individual training plans, recording student progress and reviewing regularly.

Requirements

  • A relevant qualification in SEND and/or qualified by experience.
  • Sufficient knowledge of relevant computer applications to teach skills on a basic level.
  • Experience of working with adults with special educational needs and disabilities, with an understanding of the unique challenges faced by this client group.
  • Ability to develop training materials and communicate effectively with students.
