Job Summary:
Niyaa People Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is vital in supporting our clients' tenants and homeless families in their temporary accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tenant Support: Provide comprehensive support to tenants, for previously homeless individuals, to help them sustain their tenancies.
- Housing Management: Oversee the housing management of the properties, including conducting fire alarm tests and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Temporary Accommodation Support: Assist homeless families residing in council-provided temporary accommodation, managing license agreements and offering ongoing support to help them sustain their tenancies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a housing or homelessness support context.
- Strong understanding of tenancy sustainment and housing management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide effective support to vulnerable individuals.
- Ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to housing.
