Premier Foods is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Environmental Degree Apprentice. This is a unique opportunity to combine academic studies with hands-on experience in environmental management.
About the Role:As an Environmental Degree Apprentice, you will be studying towards a 5-year Degree Apprenticeship in Environmental Management. You will be based at our Worksop site, where you will work closely with our Environmental Manager and other teams to develop and implement sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the development and implementation of site energy monitoring and waste reduction initiatives.
- Contribute to the embedding of sustainable behaviors throughout project lifecycles.
- Utilize research and learning to make meaningful contributions to projects and ways of working.
- Assist in reporting and investigating environmental incidents.
- Produce project statistics and KPIs for presentation to project leadership and the Environmental Manager.
- Support the Environmental Manager with site EA & STW permits and consents.
- 112 UCAS tariff points or relevant recognized prior learning/experience.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a small team.
- Sound communication and personal effectiveness skills.
- Interest in sustainability and the environment.
- Good working knowledge of MS packages, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Starting salary of £22,500 per year, with annual increments.
- Opportunity to study towards a 5-year Degree Apprenticeship in Environmental Management.
- Support and guidance from experienced colleagues.
