Cubico Sustainable Investments Limited is seeking a highly skilled Solar Energy Analyst to join its growing Technical Team. The successful candidate will contribute to the internalization of capabilities related to energy yield analysis for in-house development activities and potential acquisition targets.

The role will be based in a location that suits the company's needs, with the option to be based in Madrid, Spain, London, UK, or Manchester, UK, and will report directly to the Energy Analysis Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site feasibility assessments to evaluate resource and production potential;
  • Perform pre-construction energy yield assessments for solar projects in accordance with industry best practices;
  • Review and challenge third-party energy yield assessment reports for solar projects, identifying critical issues or further analysis requirements;
  • Support the tendering process for third-party energy yield analyses, including scope definition;
  • Contribute to the development of Cubico's energy analysis methodology, processes, and tools, incorporating lessons learned from the company's operational portfolio;
  • Provide technical support to Cubico's regional Development teams as needed;
  • Support the acquisition of pre-construction and operational solar projects and portfolios;
  • Develop a deeper understanding of energy analysis and its relationship to the technical and commercial aspects of renewable energy project development and acquisition/operation;
  • Deliver high-quality work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in solar energy yield analysis;
  • Track record in renewable energy project development, preferably in a company or technical advisory/consulting industry;
  • Proficiency in industry software tools, including Pvsyst, Meteonorm, PvDesign, PVcase, Rstudio, and Python;
  • High level of proficiency in Excel, visual basic, and macro writing experience an advantage;
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and Spanish, and proficiency in Italian or Portuguese an advantage;
  • Willingness to travel internationally for business purposes.
