Your Role

As a Renewable Energy Market Strategist, you will:

  • Analyze energy and ancillary service markets across Europe, determining the criteria for participation for various asset types.
  • Assist the business development team in assessing the value of flexibility in different regions.
  • Actively represent Octopus Energy in industry forums to promote the energy transition.
  • Utilize data analysis, modeling, and market research to guide strategic business decisions.
  • Collaborate with product teams to identify and conduct necessary analyses for upcoming projects.
  • Engage closely with clients to navigate the complexities of energy markets and articulate the Octopus offering.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity within European energy markets.
  • Proficiency in interpreting complex briefs and technical documents, with the ability to communicate effective strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated capability in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting intricate quantitative data.
