About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Leadership Manager to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing operational leadership and embedding best practice in relation to the Brokerage and Placement Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to secure compliant and value for money provision from external services providing the best outcomes for citizens.
  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve jointly agreed outcomes and best value.
  • Convey a clear vision and take a strategic approach towards the management of staff, empowering solution-focused staff and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Effectively use a range of IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and bespoke social care systems to support the smooth running of the team.
  • Ensure the needs of minority and disadvantaged groups are reflected in work outcomes.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a good working knowledge and experience of working within the legislative frameworks for Adults and Children's Social Care. You should have significant experience and knowledge of delivering a person-centered, strengths-based approach in respect of brokering and placements sourcing for adults and children's provision.

Requirements

  • DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
