Key Responsibilities:- Site Leadership: Assist the Operations Manager in managing the site's safe System of Work, ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Operational Excellence: Lead the development, delivery, and review of facility operations procedures, ensuring maximum plant availability and flexibility.
- Team Management: Provide leadership, direction, and management to the Operations team, fostering a culture of teamwork and development.
- Collaboration: Assist the Operations Manager in managing close operations/maintenance team co-operation, ensuring effective use of the site CMMS.
- Process Optimization: Supervise effective plant operation, analyzing process issues and failures to improve plant capacity and availability.
- Contract Management: Prepare and manage contracts for external technical support, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Incident Reporting: Report and investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Operational Improvement: Lead operational improvement activities, analyzing losses and incidents to reduce the likelihood of re-occurrence.
- Project Management: Identify, quote, tender, plan, and manage improvement projects to completion.
- Strategic Planning: Prepare operational strategy to ensure alignment with the overall plan and requirements.
- Contractor Management: Control contractors to ensure they operate in accordance with the Safe System of Work.
- Risk Management: Carry out risk assessments and audits to ensure activities are completed in a safe manner.
- Supply Chain Management: Manage and develop good working relationships with input and output suppliers and contractors.
- Leadership: Strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage a team and drive results.
- Commitment: Commitment to continually keeping up-to-date execution plans, including schedules and mobilization of personnel and equipment.
- Competency: Ability to demonstrate excellent Health and Safety behaviors, ensuring safety expectations are implemented and maintained.
