Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at Experian. As a key member of our data management team, you will play a critical role in developing and driving our data governance and data management agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on data management best practices to ensure alignment with our data standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
  • Analyze data processing and control activities to identify areas for improvement and develop remediation plans.
  • Develop and maintain controls and monitoring assurance plans to ensure data quality and security.
  • Own and create governance record keeping improvement plans and deploy enhanced operational controls.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of data management best practices, including data governance, data security, data quality, and data compliance.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of policy frameworks and business process management.
  • Knowledge of risk management practices, audit, process, control management, and monitoring best practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation pertaining to data, including data protection legislation.
  • Experience in making sound and far-reaching decisions on major issues and implementing them within the business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
