Data Governance Specialist

FDM Group Ltd. is seeking a Data Governance Lead to join our client's digital technology team in the Energy sector. This is a 6-month contract with potential for extension.
As the Data Governance Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring UK alignment to the client's data governance strategy. You will have ownership of the overarching data governance strategy and governance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the single point of contact for the client into Group for data governance topics and projects.
- Lead on ensuring data owners in the client's pillars and central functions are aware of data governance guidance.
- UK owner and subject matter expert of the client's data governance tool of choice.
- Provide data governance guidance to UK digital technology projects.
About You
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in access management, data quality, data policies (GDPR etc), and data governance tooling implementation.
- Subject matter expert in data governance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical details in non-technical terms.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
- Understanding of the political sensitivities of a complex business.
- Experience working with an international team.
