About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at the University of Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for researching and documenting our botanical collections, ensuring improved accessibility and accuracy of these collections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead research projects related to botanical collections, working closely with our Documentation and Photography teams.
  • Formulate new research projects, building partnerships within the University of Cambridge and beyond.
  • Participate in research networks such as Collections-Connections-Communities.
  • Contribute to teaching and develop skills in museological practice, including temporary displays and exhibitions.
  • Support the Curator, Northern European Paintings & Drawings, with collections enquiries and access.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with knowledge or experience of working in a museum, library or archive, with a track record of research outputs related to botanical drawings or flower paintings. You will be adept at working independently and as part of a team, with excellent IT and digital skills.
