We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at the University of Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for researching and documenting our botanical collections, ensuring improved accessibility and accuracy of these collections.
Key Responsibilities- Lead research projects related to botanical collections, working closely with our Documentation and Photography teams.
- Formulate new research projects, building partnerships within the University of Cambridge and beyond.
- Participate in research networks such as Collections-Connections-Communities.
- Contribute to teaching and develop skills in museological practice, including temporary displays and exhibitions.
- Support the Curator, Northern European Paintings & Drawings, with collections enquiries and access.
We are looking for an individual with knowledge or experience of working in a museum, library or archive, with a track record of research outputs related to botanical drawings or flower paintings. You will be adept at working independently and as part of a team, with excellent IT and digital skills.
What We OfferWe offer a supportive environment, generous holiday allowance, an attractive pension scheme, and many employee benefits. This is a fixed-term position for 24 months, with the possibility of extension.
