Position Overview: We are collaborating with a remarkable institution focused on Special Educational Needs (SEN) that is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to enhance their educational team.

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the educational team to design, implement, and assess the academic curriculum.
  • Engage in team meetings, professional development sessions, and other designated activities.
  • Participate in the institution's quality assurance initiatives.
  • Uphold the institution's mission, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Dedicate efforts to promoting inclusive practices for all learners.
  • Assume personal accountability for the educational, care, and developmental needs of students.
  • Exemplify professional behavior and adhere to the institution's Code of Conduct.
  • Follow health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of oneself and others.

Safeguarding Commitment: Understand and comply with the institution's Safeguarding Policies to ensure the safety and welfare of all students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Possession of a minimum Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or equivalent.
  • Level 2 certifications in English, IT, and Mathematics.
  • Awareness and dedication to the institution's principles, ethos, and values.
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Personal experience or knowledge regarding disabilities.
  • Evidence of paid or voluntary engagement with children or young people over time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, basic Excel, and educational database systems.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Shared responsibility for the educational and care needs of students.
