Position: Special Educational Needs Teacher


Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Secondary SEN School
Salary Range: M1-UPS3 (£36,745-£56,959) + SEN Allowance (£2,539-£5,009)

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teacher to join our dedicated team. This full-time, permanent role involves educating students aged 11-19 who have a variety of complex disabilities, including profound and multiple learning disabilities, severe learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders.


Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a joyful and engaging learning environment through a non-punitive approach to teaching and behavior management.
- Support students exhibiting challenging behaviors with patience and understanding.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues while also being able to work independently.
- Manage and guide Teaching Assistants to enhance student learning.
- Develop and deliver creative lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills and maintain a positive attitude.
- Uphold the school's ethos and mission in all aspects of your work.
- Engage in professional development opportunities and contribute to the broader school community.
