Job Opportunity: SEND Teaching Assistant - Secondary

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support secondary level students with special educational needs in a secondary school in Gateshead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to monitor student progress.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with secondary level children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
