Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Long-term contract

Location: Gateshead area

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school in Gateshead. The ideal candidate will have a passion for empowering students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with personalized curriculum's and care plans to meet their individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for students.
  • Participate in lesson planning and implementation, setting up lessons, equipment, and activities within the classrooms.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Fully enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience working in a transferable role, preferably in a SEND setting.
  • Ability to follow personalized curriculum's and care plans to meet student's requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
