Pay Award Pending
Lancashire County Council is dedicated to providing exceptional catering services across various facilities, including homes and day centres for the elderly, serving over 800 meals daily. We are seeking dedicated individuals to enhance our culinary team.
In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues to deliver nutritious, well-balanced meals for our service users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals and beverages according to established menus and production schedules.
- Oversee and guide other kitchen staff as necessary.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and oversee stock management.
What We Are Looking For:
- A recognized qualification in catering and/or a food hygiene certification is preferred.
- Experience in catering for large groups is advantageous.
Working Hours/Days:
- Rotational schedule covering a 3-week period.
- Required to work 1 weekend in every 3 (additional pay available).
- Total of 34 hours per week.
- A valid driving license is essential.
- Access to a vehicle is necessary (mileage reimbursement provided).
Candidates must provide a vehicle for job-related duties and ensure it is insured for business use. Consideration may be given to applicants unable to drive due to a disability.
Important Information:
This position is part-time, and the salary mentioned is based on full-time equivalency, with actual pay calculated on a pro-rata basis.
