About the Team:

The Valuation and Strategic Assets (VASA) team operates within the Climate and Inclusive Growth directorate. Our focus is on the strategic management of land and assets, which are essential for delivering services across health, education, leisure, and community support.

VASA comprises a diverse group of professionals who offer expert guidance across the Council and collaborate with external partners, including the NHS. Our mission is to enhance revenue generation through our commercial investment portfolio while ensuring that community assets provide social value and are utilized effectively.

About the Role:

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment. You will engage in various aspects of property management, including landlord-tenant relations, leasing, and asset disposals, as well as development agreements. Your role will involve collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including internal departments and community organizations, requiring you to be proactive in identifying opportunities to maximize asset value.

While MRICS qualification is preferred, extensive experience and expertise in commercial or corporate property management are essential. Strong report writing and presentation skills are crucial, as is familiarity with the Local Authority landscape. A solid understanding of health and safety legislation is also important, and being a Registered Valuer may be advantageous.
