About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Casual Mental Health Professional to join our team at Oxfordshire County Council. As an Approved Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing a mental health crisis in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Mental Health Act assessments to the highest standards, respecting confidentiality, choice, dignity, and privacy.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes in guidance and new ways of working.
  • Complete legal and other relevant reports and documentation to organisational and nationally specified standards, ensuring data completeness.
Requirements
  • Passion for following professional standards and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Trained AMHP from a recognised Community Psychiatric Nurse, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Psychology background, with a valid warrant to practice as an AMHP and maintenance of registration with the regulatory body.
