We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Safety Case Consultant to join our team at Total Resourcing Limited. As a Junior Safety Case Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in the production of safety cases and associated assessments for high-hazard category facilities and modifications.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality consultancy services that meet and exceed client expectations in terms of technical excellence, quality of deliverables, timescales, and cost.
- Contribute to the development of safety cases and assessments for high-hazard category facilities and modifications, working closely with senior colleagues and clients.
- Produce major elements of safety cases, including fault analysis and the identification and specification of safety systems.
- Develop and present robust and reasoned arguments in a rational and coherent manner, ensuring that safety cases are well-structured and effective.
- Participate in the integrated design process and interface with engineers and human factors specialists to ensure that safety cases are aligned with project requirements.
- Respond to client, peer review, and safety committee comments as part of the governance process, ensuring that safety cases are thoroughly reviewed and validated.
- Attend meetings with senior colleagues and clients to discuss project progress and safety case development.
- Identify opportunities for growth and development within the business, supporting and mentoring colleagues to achieve their full potential.
- BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng in a relevant field of study, such as engineering, science, or a related field.
- Willingness to obtain a security clearance to access sensitive information and work on high-hazard category projects.
- Minimum of 2 years professional engineering/technical specialist experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of safety case production processes and methodologies.
- Familiarity with areas such as decommissioning, optioneering, best practice, human factors, radioactive materials transport, licensing, and radioactive waste.
- 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, with an additional 1 day off for every 1-year service, capped at 5 days.
