Occupational Health Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Physician to join our team at Navis Health. As an Occupational Health Physician, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality occupational health services to our clients and ensuring that our services meet the highest standards.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver occupational health services to clients, providing expert advice and guidance on workplace health and safety matters.
- Act as an ambassador for Navis Health, promoting our occupational health services and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure that our occupational health services are delivered to the highest standards, adhering to best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Provide medical advice and guidance on disability and health-related matters to clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct health surveillance and screening services, including asbestos and HAVS assessments.
- Act as a professional witness in judicial environments, providing expert testimony on workplace health and safety matters.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide case management advice and support.
- Utilize our internal medical records database and diary system to ensure that clinical procedures are fulfilled.
- Understand and adhere to Navis Health's objectives, values, and policies.
- Assist with the induction and training of new employees within the team.
- Manage confidential data in line with data protection legislation and regulations.
- Perform general office duties, including administrative tasks and record-keeping.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve the customer experience and continuously enhance our services.
- DipOccMed/AFOM/MFOM qualification is the minimum requirement.
- Current GMC registration and MDU restriction.
- Prior transport experience and ORR registration.
- Asbestos, IHR, and HAVS T4 experience and qualifications required.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role within the private sector for at least 2 years.
- Good understanding of employment law and qualified to undertake rail work is desired.
- Hands-on knowledge of various aspects of health surveillance and screening.
- Proficient IT skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Full UK driving license.
- MFOM/AFOM qualification.
- Good telephone manner and confident in dictation of medical reports.
- Proficient IT skills and organisational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and exemplary communication skills.
- Flexible approach and confident presentation skills.
- Understanding of work-related health hazards and knowledge of health and safety and employment law.
- Able to undertake risk assessments and commercial understanding.
- Responsible, well-organised, and professional in appearance and approach.
- Able to work alone or as a team, trustworthy, and honest.
- Calm under pressure and willing to learn new skills.
- Efficient, enthusiastic, proactive, and possess a positive can-do attitude.
