Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Specialist to join our team at Freightliner Group Ltd. As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting and maintaining the highest levels of health in our colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a comprehensive and confidential Occupational Health Service to all staff, identifying health trends and supporting issue-specific improvement frameworks.
  • Advise, support, and liaise with Human Resources, management, and colleagues regarding occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Act as a professional point of contact for line managers in relation to health, wellbeing, and the workplace.
  • Provide expert technical advice and guidance on the medical aspects of occupational hygiene, health, wellbeing, and safety.
  • Manage and maintain confidential occupational health records.
  • Deliver presentations/training sessions to promote health and wellbeing and occupational health risks.
  • Work within the scope and in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Professional Code of Conduct standards of practice and behaviour for nurses, midwives, and nursing associates.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC Register.
  • Post graduate qualification or significant experience in occupational health with a strong case management background.
  • Training/experience in undertaking Drug and Alcohol testing, Audiometry, Spirometry, and HAVS.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety Law and its application to Occupational Health.
  • Previous experience of working within a previous rail environment or other relevant highly regulated and safety environment.
