Senior Business Development Manager

Flow Control Engineering is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Business Development Manager to expand our market reach and drive new business opportunities in the meat, pet food, bakery, and dairy industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities, focusing on expanding market share in the meat industry and branching into pet food, bakery, and dairy sectors.
  • Form and nurture new business relationships with prospective clients, positioning our company as a market leader in portioning equipment.
  • Develop and execute competitive market strategies to target competitors' market share, leveraging industry knowledge and sales expertise to convert clients from competitors.
  • Engage in proactive outreach efforts, attending industry events, networking, and meeting potential clients to drive business growth.
  • Regularly travel to meet with prospective clients, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions to meet their operational requirements.
  • Manage all administrative duties remotely, including sales reporting, client communication, and follow-up.
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven track record in equipment sales, with a particular focus on portioning equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the meat or food processing industry is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated success in building new business relationships and opening new accounts.
  • Strong desire to succeed, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to meet prospective clients across various sectors.
  • Ability to attend the Milton Keynes office regularly during the first 3-6 months.
Desirable:
  • Experience or knowledge of the food manufacturing industry is highly favourable.
  • Familiarity with the competitive landscape and strategies to gain market share from competitors.
  • Experience selling capital machinery.
