About the Role

Citi's Tax Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Commercial Vice President. This role will provide technical tax support to our global businesses, including analysis of changes in tax law, client support, and strategic tax advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide VAT advice in respect of global commodity transactions
  • Assist with technology implementation in the business
  • Review of the commodities' businesses VAT return and other VAT reporting requirements
  • Support the commodities business in indirect taxes
  • Provide ad hoc VAT advice in relation to all Citi businesses and support areas
Requirements
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of VAT and financial services
  • Experience of VAT processes and risks
  • Apply commercial judgment as well as technical proficiency
  • Experience in general VAT and tax accounting
  • Worked in a multi-jurisdictional environment and gained knowledge of one or more tax systems
