Assistant Manager - Luxury Retail

The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in the store's success, reporting directly to the Store Manager and overseeing floor management responsibilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving store performance by achieving financial, operational, and service targets set by the Store Manager
  • Delivering exceptional customer service by fostering strong relationships with clients, driving sales, and enhancing brand loyalty
  • Ensuring seamless after-sales service for clients
  • Assisting the Store Manager with scheduling, absentee management, and team development
  • Recruiting high-calibre team members from Sales Assistants to Associate Managers
  • Meeting monthly sales targets and exceeding KPI goals (e.g., conversions and UPT)
  • Overseeing daily operations, including cash handling, security measures, and visual standards
  • Collaborating with the Store Manager to develop and implement training programs for store associates
  • Staying up-to-date with product knowledge and visual merchandising standards
  • Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies
  • Maintaining effective communication channels between management, head office, and store colleagues

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • At least 2 years of experience as an Assistant, Deputy, Department, or Floor Manager in a customer-focused environment
  • Experience working in a premium retail environment with a strong focus on exceptional service
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and recruit and train new staff members
  • Passion for luxury retail and a strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Understanding of financial and non-financial KPIs
  • A commitment to being a brand ambassador
