About the Role
Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our Mental Health Crisis Intervention Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing crisis and acute care in the community to individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out assigned tasks involving direct care in support of and supervised by a registered clinician.
- Participate in the development and implementation of high-quality care.
- Establish effective relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Implement clinical tasks in care packages/care plans, document observations and actions as directed by a registered healthcare professional.
- Participate with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in providing a programme of care and to change the patient's recovery.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of mental health or learning disability issues, including mental health legislation and medication management.
- Standard IT skills.
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience of working within physical or mental health services.
- Evidence of effective inter-personal communication skills, good organisational skills, and a team player.
