Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Prospect Research Officer to enhance our accomplished prospect research team, collaborating closely with our fundraising department to oversee their prospect databases and portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver insights and guidance on potential donors, trusts, foundations, corporations, and other entities, while gathering and analyzing data to produce clear and informative reports for the fundraising team and senior leadership.
- Proactively discover new prospects, ensuring that biographical details are precise and current.
- Lead initiatives to refine and broaden research methodologies, assist with tailored research inquiries, support the Head of Prospect Research with specialized research assignments, and contribute to the philanthropic due diligence process.
About Us: The Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO) is dedicated to supporting the University of Birmingham's academic and student community by engaging, inspiring, and honoring alumni, individuals, and charitable contributors who invest their resources to advance the University's strategic goals.
The Office comprises five teams focused on fundraising and volunteerism from alumni, organizations, and individuals committed to making a difference through funding various research initiatives, supporting student scholarships, mentoring students, and offering internships, along with providing a diverse array of engagement opportunities for our global alumni network.
