Senior Community Mental Health Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Community Mental Health Nurse to join our Complex Psychosis Rehabilitation Service in the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will work with individuals experiencing complex severe and enduring mental health needs, providing specialist assessment, treatment, and support to help them regain their skills and confidence to live successfully in the community.

The service operates in a community setting, working closely with other services and agencies to provide a comprehensive care package. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with individuals who have difficulty engaging with services and have complex mental health needs.

The role will involve:

  • Undertaking clinical assessments to establish individual needs and goals
  • Delivering recovery-focused interventions and managing a caseload of individuals with complex mental health needs
  • Administering medication and completing risk assessments and risk management plans
  • Participating in the development of the service and contributing to the achievement of its aims and objectives

Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse with post-registration experience working with adults experiencing complex severe and enduring mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a community setting and have skills in assessing, planning, and evaluating care for individuals with mental health-related difficulties.

The successful candidate will also have knowledge of the Mental Health NICE Guidelines and the Care Review Process, as well as skills in risk assessment and management.
