Overview

The Ministry of Defence – Royal Navy is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team, focusing on financial management within the Future Maritime Support Programme and related projects. This role is essential in ensuring the financial integrity and accountability of our operations.

About the Role

Position Summary

As a Financial Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Resource Manager Infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Providing comprehensive financial oversight for the Future Maritime Support Programme and associated projects.
  • Assisting in the preparation of In-Year Forecasts and the Annual Budgetary Cycle, with a focus on identifying financial risks.
  • Leading the production and delivery of the monthly Infrastructure Forecast of Outturn, ensuring all reporting requirements are met.
  • Conducting financial assurance and scrutiny of Business Cases and Expenditure proposals to facilitate timely delivery of Infrastructure outputs.
  • Collaborating with Delivery Teams to provide financial support and analysis for informed decision-making.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance and demonstrate confidence in engaging with various stakeholders. Essential qualifications include:
  • AAT Level 4 or above.
  • Knowledge of MOD Financial Procedures.
  • Completion of Financial Skills Certificate (Intermediate Level) in In-Year Financial Management within six months of joining.
