About the Programme
Babcock International Group is seeking talented individuals to join our Graduate Naval Architect Programme. As a Graduate Naval Architect, you will embark on an exciting two-year journey through some of the most complex engineering projects in the world.
You will be at the centre of defining your path through the programme, identifying placements that suit your career ambitions, guided by a professional mentor and supported by our early careers team every step of the way.
Our programme encourages mobility across our sectors, giving you a broader experience and wider exposure to our business.
What You'll Do
As a Graduate Naval Architect, you will work alongside and learn from some of the most respected naval architects and structural engineers in the world. You will learn how to analyse and design various aspects of floating vessels and structures, including hull form, arrangement, stability, structures, resistance, propulsion, and human factors.
You will make a real contribution to the wider business, working on projects such as naval ships, submarines, small boats, commercial vessels, and platforms. You will also have opportunities to further the field of Naval Architecture through research, attendance, and presenting at industry-recognised conferences.
What You'll Need
To be eligible for this programme, you will need a BEng (Hons) degree accredited by RINA/IMarEST. However, we also accept applications from a wide range of STEM-based degrees, such as Structural Engineering, Material Sciences, and Mathematics.
