About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our Family Safeguarding team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hold a caseload of families and work in partnership with multi-agency partners to provide support and interventions.
  • Assess and formulate care and treatment plans for adults with complex mental health needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including individual and group-based work, that are psychologically informed.
  • Attend multi-agency case reviews and contribute to the development of collaborative risk and safety plans.
  • Utilize strategies such as motivational interviewing and solution-focused approaches when working with adults.
About the Team

The Family Safeguarding team takes a multi-disciplinary approach to working with families, incorporating Children and Families Social Workers and Family Support Practitioners, working alongside Adult Specialist Workers to address issues related to parental domestic abuse, substance misuse, and mental ill-health.
