About Us: Family First Nurseries is a leading provider of high-quality childcare services, dedicated to delivering exceptional care and education to children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Play Away Day Nursery City. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and education are delivered to our children, while also contributing to the smooth running of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe, support and extend children's development, update the EyLog system and children's learning journals with the highest quality and relevance
  • Ensure children are supervised and attended to at all times, maintaining appropriate staff:child ratios
  • Ensure positive partnerships with parents/carers with thorough handover on daily collection and encourage their involvement in the nursery
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families.

Requirements:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
  • Over 1 year's experience of working in Early Years - desirable
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
