About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Manager to join our Operational HR Team at Avara Foods. As an HR Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering on our people agenda, providing solid ER knowledge and support, and driving business results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for comprehensive HR advice and support across all management levels.
- Ensure consistent application of HR processes throughout the site.
- Monitor and facilitate compliance with Human Rights and Ethics policies, supporting audits, and guiding managers.
- Collaborate with the Site Operational Team to manage headcount requirements, retention, and recruitment planning and onboarding.
- Oversee the site's Learning and Development initiatives, in alignment with succession planning, regulatory requirements, and skills development.
- Spearhead employee engagement strategies, including leading forums, union meetings, and listening groups.
- Provide and monitor up-to-date KPIs on compliance matters.
- Lead people change projects as necessary.
- Work closely with the wider HR Teams to deliver comprehensive HR support.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with external partners, such as Occupational Health and contractors.
- Lead and develop a team of HR professionals onsite.
Requirements:
- Experience of working within a manufacturing or fast-paced organization in a HR Manager role (Food Industry experience is desirable).
- CIPD level 5 qualified or above and committed to continued professional development.
- Strong knowledge in employment law and regulations and experience in advising on complex ER matters.
- Knowledge and experience of managing large change projects, including restructures and changes to terms and conditions.
- Experience of working with Trade Unions.
- Resilience, great influencing, and communication skills.
- Confident leadership skills with a knack for motivating, mentoring, and developing teams.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages.
