About the Role:

We are seeking a highly competent and motivated HR Advisor to join our HR Team based at our Wednesbury site. As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our people across Avara Foods.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the HR office, setting up, monitoring, and continually improving systems and procedures. They will provide a comprehensive and professional service to all internal and external customers within procedural and economic constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice on all employment-related matters and ensure all complaints and disciplinary hearings are conducted in line with our guidelines.
  • Provide guidance to managers on our Absence Policy and Procedures.
  • Proactively manage long-term sickness, amended duties, and health conditions cases, involving Occupational Health as necessary.
  • Manage and support maternity, paternity, and flexible working cases.
  • Process new starters, leavers, and contractual changes.
  • Support managers with probationary review meetings.
  • Manage and review 60-hour process flagging breaches or potential breaches.
  • Support with HR-related projects.
  • Respond to queries and carry out exit interviews.
  • Support the Resourcing department and line managers with interviews.
  • Contribute to the Company's induction programme.

Requirements:

  • Up-to-date experience and confident use of Microsoft Office and HR packages.
  • Good working knowledge of employment law.
  • CIPD qualified or working towards is desirable.
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing or fast-paced organization and up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
  • Drive to improve performance and deliver outstanding results.
  • Results-oriented with an emphasis on quality and teamwork.
  • Methodical with attention to detail.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to handle conflict/confrontation effectively.
  • High level of personal integrity, demonstrating respect and empathy for others.
