At Avara Foods, we pride ourselves on our innovative approach to HR and are seeking a highly skilled and driven HR Advisor to become an integral part of our HR team.



Role Objectives

Under the supervision of the HR Manager, the HR Advisor plays a crucial role within the HR team, ensuring that all aspects of the employee lifecycle are managed professionally and in compliance with legal standards and company policies, while also enhancing operational efficiency.

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00, with potential flexibility available to discuss during the interview.


Key Responsibilities of the HR Advisor:

  • Provide expert HR guidance on critical matters, assisting managers in disciplinary, grievance, and appeal processes while documenting outcomes.
  • Support management and HR colleagues in organizational change initiatives.
  • Deliver effective advice and support on all aspects of absence management.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Health professionals as necessary.
  • Work closely with department managers to manage workforce requirements, including headcount analysis and vacancy identification.
  • Partner with the resourcing and training teams to ensure effective onboarding of new employees.
  • Assist in the recruitment process for skilled and managerial positions in collaboration with the resourcing team.
  • Coordinate with HR Shared Services to ensure timely delivery of key HR activities.
  • Coach and mentor managers to facilitate regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with management and training teams to identify training needs and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure accurate site data is submitted to the Payroll team in accordance with established timelines.
  • Recommend improvements to processes and practices.
  • Engage in various project work as required.
Desired Qualifications:

  • Recent experience as an HR Advisor, with a strong understanding of employment law.
  • CIPD qualification or part qualification at levels 3 to 5.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software applications.
  • Demonstrated integrity, respect, and empathy towards others, maintaining consistency and transparency.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Capable of managing conflict and confrontation with professionalism.
  • Adaptable and flexible in approach.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
