About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Reinsurance Account Manager to join our UK Accident & Heath Reinsurance Solutions team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support in the placing and servicing of treaty reinsurance placements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide detailed technical advice on contractual matters, including drafting of slips & contracts, bespoke clauses and provisions as required.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate on the content of contracts with clients and reinsurers throughout the placement process.
  • Documentation: Produce contractual documentation, including contract wordings, endorsements and evidence of cover.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data necessary for the preparation of client and market submissions and presentations.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with brokers, account executives, account managers, analytics teams, clients and reinsurers regarding submission information, portfolio developments, contract wordings and the resulting impact on reinsurance.
  • Query Resolution: Resolve queries received from clients and reinsurers, involving liaison with colleagues within other departments as necessary.
  • Product Support: Support brokers by ensuring the efficient delivery of all Aon products and tools.
  • Data Management: Populate and maintain data within Aon's IT systems.
Requirements
  • Reinsurance Experience: Relevant experience working in Reinsurance broking, ideally within Accident & Heath business.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to lead technical conversations both internally and in the marketplace.
  • Education: Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills, including effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail.
  • Numeracy: Good level of numeracy.
  • Analytical Skills: Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Market Knowledge: Understanding of London (re)insurance market dynamics and core processes.
  • Technical Knowledge: Technical (re)insurance knowledge.
  • Integrity: Demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
  • Software Skills: Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
