Join our team as a Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer at Yorkshire Water

Location: Flexible Hybrid Working Model

Employment Type: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Compensation & Perks: Competitive salary ranging from £49,275 to £61,593 per annum based on experience, along with an annual bonus, pension plan, life insurance, generous leave policies, wellness initiatives, and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provision cloud resources across PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS using Azure Resource Manager templates and Terraform.
  • Establish and uphold cloud security protocols, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and implement innovative services.
  • Continuously monitor cloud environments for security threats and proactively address vulnerabilities.
  • Operate effectively in both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Design comprehensive technical solutions to support business objectives.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Expertise in build and release automation, as well as continuous integration and deployment.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and Agile practices.
  • Strong Unix and Windows system administration capabilities.
  • Understanding of integration processes within large organizations.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator.
  • Microsoft Certified Security Engineer.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, including Octopus.
  • Familiarity with VMware Product Suite and Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of scripting technologies (PowerShell) and enterprise networking.
