Exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect at Yorkshire Water

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at Yorkshire Water. As a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions: You will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our organization. This will include working with our development teams to design and implement cloud-based infrastructure, as well as working with our security teams to ensure that our cloud-based solutions are secure.
  • Collaborate with teams: You will be working closely with our development teams, security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that our cloud-based solutions meet the needs of our organization.
  • Monitor and maintain cloud environments: You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our cloud environments to ensure that they are running smoothly and securely.
  • Work in both Linux and Windows environments: You will be working in both Linux and Windows environments, and will be responsible for ensuring that our cloud-based solutions are compatible with both.
  • Create detailed technical designs: You will be responsible for creating detailed technical designs to support technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure: You will have experience with Microsoft Azure, and will be able to design and implement cloud-based solutions using Azure.
  • Experience in build & release automation and continuous integration and deployment: You will have experience in build & release automation and continuous integration and deployment, and will be able to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our organization.
  • Scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell): You will have experience with scripting and programming languages, including Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and Agile methodologies: You will have experience with DevOps practices and Agile methodologies, and will be able to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our organization.
  • Unix & Windows system administration skills: You will have experience with Unix & Windows system administration, and will be able to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our organization.
  • Knowledge of integration within enterprise organizations: You will have knowledge of integration within enterprise organizations, and will be able to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Additional beneficial qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator: You will have experience with Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, and will be able to design and implement cloud-based solutions using Azure.
  • Microsoft Certified Security Engineer: You will have experience with Microsoft Certified Security Engineer, and will be able to design and implement secure cloud-based solutions.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Octopus: You will have experience with CI/CD tools like Octopus, and will be able to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our organization.
  • Experience with VMware Product Suite and Microsoft Active Directory: You will have experience with VMware Product Suite and Microsoft Active Directory, and will be able to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our organization.
  • Scripting Technologies (PowerShell) and Enterprise Networks: You will have experience with scripting technologies and enterprise networks, and will be able to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our organization.
