Job Opportunity: Altus Partners is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Group Finance Director to join our esteemed client, a leading investment platform, in a newly created opportunity.

About the Role: As a Deputy CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of the company over the next 12 months. You will collaborate closely with the CFO, CEO, and other senior management to oversee the financial operations of a complex business structure and diverse portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Financial Strategies: Assist in developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the company's objectives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead Financial Planning and Budgeting: Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, working closely with the financial controllership team to improve quality and timeliness of management reporting.
  • Manage Financial Reporting: Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards, and provide insightful analysis to drive decision-making and support strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee Risk Management: Oversee risk management strategies and internal controls, collaborating with other departments to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Senior Financial Experience: Proven experience in a senior financial role within the finance services industry, upwards from Group Finance Director in similar size and scale.
  • Financial Services Expertise: Strong understanding of Financial Services, Wealth or Asset Management, regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Immediate Availability: Immediate availability or short notice period.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Financial Analysis and Risk Management: Solid grasp of financial analysis, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Accounting Qualification: Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA or Chartered Accountant).
