Job Title: Social Worker

Serco is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team at the Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre (IRC). As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing professional safeguarding advice and support to children and families residing at the centre.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to make a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality safeguarding advice and support, working closely with colleagues to ensure the well-being and safety of residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional safeguarding advice and support to children and families residing at the centre
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the well-being and safety of residents
  • Take a high-profile role in engaging with staff and families, promoting a positive and supportive environment
  • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating commitment to collaborative working and high standards of care
  • Provide guidance on safeguarding and child protection concerns, as well as other matters within the IRCs
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 3 years' experience, who is passionate about delivering high standards of care to vulnerable families. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
