About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our team at Serco, working in the UK&E Justice & Immigration business with the UK Home Office Immigration Enforcement department.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide professional safeguarding advice relating to children and families residing at Gatwick Pre-Departure Accommodation (PDA). They will take a high-profile role, being active, visible, and accessible, spending the majority of time engaging with staff and families. The Social Worker will act as a positive role model, demonstrating commitment to collaborative working as part of the Gatwick IRC team.

Requirements

  • Hold a Social Work Qualification (minimum 3 years qualified)
  • Experience of working with families from diverse backgrounds
  • Passionate about delivering high standards of care to vulnerable families
