Job Title: Social Worker

Serco is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team at the Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre (IRC). As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing professional safeguarding advice and support to children and families residing at the centre.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care and support to vulnerable families. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing professional safeguarding advice and support to children and families residing at the centre
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure the safety and well-being of residents
  • Developing and implementing effective safeguarding plans to protect vulnerable individuals
  • Collaborating with external agencies to ensure seamless support and services for residents
What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Social Work Qualification (minimum 3 years qualified)
  • Experience of working with families from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to delivering high standards of care and support
